Bosz sees Bayer Leverkusen shine against OGC Nice

Bayer Leverkusen has made an excellent start to the group stage of the Europa League. The home game in group C against OGC Nice, which is coached by former French international and Arsenal star Patrick Vieira, was won 6-2.

After a splitting pass from Leon Bailey, Nadiem Amiri opened the score for Leverkusen trained by Peter Bosz early in the game. A little later Lucas Alario hit the bottom bar from a difficult angle.

The Germans had the upper hand, but had to take a hit before half time. Amine Gouiri passed keeper Lukas Hradecky.


In the second half, a supreme Leverkusen ran further ahead with goals from Moussa Diaby, Karim Bellarabi (2x) and Florian Wirtz. Alexis Claude took care of the 6-2 in the end. Daley Sinkgraven stayed on the bench at Leverkusen throughout the game.

In group B, Arsenal booked a win at Rapid Wien. The 2-1 victory was achieved by goals from David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. They thus canceled the 1-0 from Taxiarchis Fountas.
