Liverpool wins top match against Tottenham Hotspur thanks to late goal Firmino

In the Premier League, Liverpool have shaken off Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-1 victory in the top match at Anfield. Before half time, the enormous predominance of Liverpool yielded only one goal. Hugo Lloris withdrew from Roberto Firmino, Curtis Jones, Sadio Mané and Mo Salah, but eventually bowed to a deflected shot from Salah.

The Spurs came straight to 1-1 through Heung-Min Son, who broke through on the left and finished coolly. In the second act, the opportunities were better distributed. Steven Bergwijn hit the post on behalf of Tottenham and on the other side a shot from Mané grazed the bar. Just before time, Firmino decided the game with a hard header.

Loss of points Southampton and Leicester City

With the win, Liverpool is now three points ahead of Tottenham. The team of trainer Jürgen Klopp increased the margin with the numbers three and four to four points, because both Southampton and Leicester City lost points.

Southampton drew 1-1 at Arsenal. Theo Walcott made the 0-1 with a nice marker and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made a nice attack right away. Arsenal staggered after red for Gabriel after an hour, but a fifth home loss in a row was not forthcoming.

Leicester City lost 2-0 to Everton at home. Richarlison scored before half-time, with Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel looking bad. With the 0-2 of Mason Holgate, he had no chance. Leicester did not create enough and Everton’s victory was deserved.
