Topper NAC-Cambuur due to uncertainty about corona four days later

NAC Breda cannot take action on Friday due to corona infections. After the game with De Graafschap was canceled for that reason last week, the game with Cambuur is now also postponed as a precaution. The top match will be made up on Tuesday 20 October (6.45 pm).

The results of the most recent corona tests will not be announced until Thursday, so that in the best case scenario NAC would only be informed the day before the match whether it would be allowed to play football again. However, the Breda residents were not able to train for eight days, which is not medically justifiable and sports undesirable.

In recent weeks, NAC has adhered to the advice of the GGD, which did not consider it responsible to resume the practice sessions this week after last week’s infections. In order to provide timely clarity to those involved, it was therefore decided in mutual consultation to postpone the game for a few days.

NAC is the leader in the first division with six wins in as many duels. Cambuur is third with two points less and one game more played.
